In 2016, the Internet Watch Foundation reported 57,335 URLs with images of sexual abuse of minors worldwide. In Peru, from January to October 2017, 227 cases of child pornography were registered; and, according to the Public Ministry, 22% of cases, between 2014 and 2017, of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation were captured through social networks and 64.8% of victims of sexual exploitation in line are girls and teenagers.

In response to this reality, the project “#BloqueaLaExplotaciónSexual” (#blocksexualexploitation) aims to create a greater commitment and intersectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration to prevent and respond to the reality of online sexuality, through the creation of comprehensive programs with the participation of girls, boys and adolescents and the community.

Expected results:

  • Children and adolescents are less vulnerable to online violence and survivors of online violence have greater access to care services.
  • Communities protect children and adolescents against online violence and respond to the needs of survivors.
  • The private sector of information and communication technologies adopts the standards that prevent online violence against children and adolescents.
