Commitment against forced labor
Commitment against forced labor
The II National Plan to Combat Forced Labor, approved in June 2013, recognizes the need faced by the Peruvian State regarding the lack of systematized information and the weakness of institutional mechanisms to account for the real situation of forced labor in the country.
Faced with this need, the project “Commitment against forced labor” aims to strengthen the capacities of the operators involved in the field of labor inspection and prosecution of crime, so that the State can effectively detect and register situations of forced labor and human trafficking for labor exploitation following indicators promoted by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
Expected results
- Improvement of the understanding of the indicators of forced labor and trafficking for the purpose of labor exploitation
- Improvement of the monitoring system, registration of cases
- Skill building
