#Volunteerstories: Elise Nadeau

From October 2017 to June 2018, I served as a volunteer legal advisor at CHS Alternativo, through the Canadian PRODEF program. I quickly realized how fortunate I was to work with a competent and dedicated team, in an inspiring environment and where there are a multitude of stimulating projects to get involved in.

Volunteering with CHS Alternativo is choosing to fight serious human rights violations. For me, coming from Canada, there was uprooting that involved adaptation and some challenges, but these quickly gave way to happiness and the desire to put my knowledge, skills and energy to the benefit of a cause that is very important to me. I will never regret this experience. Thank you CHS Alternativo!
